“Side-eye from a mini Maasai”

The Lolldaiga Hills Ranch and Wildlife Conservancy sits upon the highlands of Central Kenya -- a series of magnificent high folding hills, cedar forests, open grasslands and wooded valleys in the county of eastern Laikipia, around 20 km’s north west of Mount Kenya.
Lolldaiga is inhabited by the Laikipia Maasai tribe, from whose language ‘Lolldaigas’ comes from (Daiga meaning hair braid), referring to the vast range of forested hills. A well-documented series of archaeological finds, cave paintings and burial mounds show that Lolldaiga Hills has been a treasured home since early mankind.
Pictured here is the smallest of their tribe – a young girl, not more than five or six in age, absorbing tradition through rhythm and dance, to continue the Maasai story into the next generation.

The hazy streets of Cairo

From the great pyramids of the Old Kingdom through the military conquests of the New Kingdom, Egypt’s majesty has long entranced archaeologists and historians and created a vibrant society at the doorstep of one of the greatest archeological sites of our time.
A stones-throw away from the majesty of the pyramids is the capitol of Cairo - where ancient monuments, towering mosques and bustling marketplaces weave a rich tapestry of sight and sound.
But in the mornings there is the calm of reset. The sun opaque as it cuts trough the haze, as vendors and the morning inhabitants of Cairo city begin the day.
